Ninja has upped their ice cream-making game with a new Swirl CREAMi machine that makes soft serve ice cream! I had to try it to make one of the most popular amusement park treats (drum roll please) - Dole Whip Soft Serve - still delicious but so much healthier for you. The best part is that it has 13g of protein per serving because it’s made with our FlavCity Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie. Some frozen pineapple, pineapple juice and half & half give it that sweet, creamy pineapple flavor. Serve it right from the machine into your favorite cone for a treat you’ll enjoy all summer long!Note: Be sure to read all of the instructions for your new Ninja Swirl Creami machine before making this recipe. Directions
- Use a shaker bottle with a whisk ball (like our FlavCity Shaker bottle) and add the pineapple juice, half & half, and FlavCity Protein Smoothie. Shake vigorously until well combined, at least 20 seconds.
- Next, add the frozen pineapple chunks to a Ninja Swirl Creami container. Then pour the smoothie mixture over the frozen fruit until you reach the max fill line, making sure to level the mixture. Cover the container and place it on a flat surface in the freezer overnight.
- The next day, remove the container from the freezer and remove the lid. Place the open container into the outer container, cover it and lock it onto the Ninja Swirl Creami machine. Press the ‘soft serve’ button and then select the ‘ice cream’ setting and spin it only once.
- Then remove the outer container from the machine and take out the inner container. Cover the inner container with the special soft serve lid. Then attach it on the soft serve side of the machine. Hold an ice cream cone or a bowl underneath the dispenser and pull the lever to serve your delicious treat. Enjoy!
Note: If making this recipe plant-based, use four scoops of FlavCity Vegan Vanilla Cream protein smoothie and substitute your favorite plant-based cream for the half & half.
