High-Protein Pancake Donuts

High-Protein Pancake Donuts

Author: Bobby Parrish • Oct 17, 2025

This recipe will be your new breakfast obsession, and is the one that made Amazon sell out of the ceramic mini donut maker that Rose and I love to use together! High-Protein Pancake Donuts are made with our FlavCity Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie Powder and a few other baking staples. They’re fluffy, low in sugar and a much healthier swap from regular donuts. Hot off the donut maker with a drizzle of maple syrup? Yes, please! These donuts are delicious and pure morning magic.

Serving size: 5-10 mini donuts (1.2g protein per donut). This recipe can also be used to make pancakes (7.6g protein each).

Makes: 50 mini donuts (or approximately 8 pancakes)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prep the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the flour, FlavCity Protein, baking powder, coconut sugar, and salt. Stir and set aside.
  2. Prep the wet ingredients. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the milk, butter, and egg. Then pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix well until just combined, but do not over mix.
  3. Preheat the ceramic donut maker then add a few tablespoons of batter to each of the molds, do not overfill them. The donuts are ready when steam rises from the machine and the light goes off. Remove the donuts, add more batter to the molds, and repeat until all the batter has been used.
  4. Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Leftover donuts can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • If using FlavCity vegan protein smoothie be sure to use 2 scoops. Grams of protein per serving will vary.
  • To bake using a donut pan, preheat the oven to 375F, fill the pan and bake for 8-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and springy to the touch. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before enjoying.
