Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Author: Bobby Parrish • Oct 01, 2025

Dairy free smoothie bowl loaded with raw cacao, protein powder, and avocado. Topped with lots of crunchy bits for the ultimate snack or breakfast.

I made this smoothie bowl with Rose the other day and it was insanely good. You wont find this type of bowl at any juice bar, you gotta make it yourself. Loaded with raw cacao, avocados, hemp hearts, it honestly tastes like ice cream!

The smoothie bowl is 100% dairy free and paleo, it makes the perfect snack of breakfast, and could not be easier to make!

Also check out the chocolate avocado pudding that rose and I made recently.

How To Make A Smoothie Bowl

It could not be easier to make a smoothie bowl, you just want the texture to be a bit thicker than a smoothie you would drink. Add 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk to a blender. I like to use Thrive market or Elmhurst brand, they are shelf stable and has barely any emulsifiers.

Add the cacao powder, frozen banana, hemp hearts, protein powder, and nut butter. I used Laird Superfood plant based protein powder, they made one of the best on the market with next level ingredients.

Blend well and transfer smoothie to a bowl. If the mixture is too thick, add more almond milk, if too thin, add more frozen banana.

Top the smoothie bowl with your desired toppings. The coconut cereal from Thrive Market is my fave. It's keto, ingredients are clean, and it tastes like crispy coconut meat.
