These Chocolate Gingerbread Protein Bites are a perfect grab-n-go snack during the busy holiday season. They’ll give you the nutrition and energy to keep going, with a little sweetness from molasses and maple syrup, but without refined sugar. Our FlavCity Chocolate Protein Smoothie makes them both nutritious and delicious! Plus, you get some fiber from the oats and holiday vibes from the combination of ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. Whip up a batch as the holiday frenzy ramps up!

Directions

  • Place the rolled oats into the food processor. Pulse a few times to break down the oats slightly.
  • Add the FlavCity Chocolate Protein Smoothie, almond butter, molasses, maple syrup, ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the processed oats in the food processor. Pulse until the mixture starts to come together.
  • If the mixture is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time, pulsing between each addition, until a dough-like consistency forms.
  • Move the mixture from the food processor to a bowl and into the fridge to set for about 20 minutes.
  • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a small ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Enjoy!
  • Store the protein bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Recipe notes:

If using FlavCity plant-based protein smoothie,be sure to double the amount to 4 scoops.
