Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter

2 cups all purpose flour

2 scoops FlavCity Blueberry Muffin Protein Smoothie *available exclusively at Walmart

¼ cup coconut sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 1/2 cups buttermilk

½ tsp lemon zest

1 cup blueberries

Glaze:

1 scoop FlavCity Blueberry Muffin Protein Smoothie *available exclusively at Walmart

2-3 tbsp milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450F then spray a 9x9inch baking dish with avocado oil.
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into the baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix flour, FlavCity Blueberry Muffin Protein, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add buttermilk and lemon zest. Stir until a sticky dough forms. If too dry, add a tad more buttermilk. If too wet, add in a little more flour until you get the desired sticky consistency.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  6. Spread the dough evenly over the melted butter. It’s okay if some butter comes up over the dough. Then take a knife and cut the dough into 9 squares.
  7. Bake for 22-25 minutes, rotating the dish halfway through. Tops should be golden brown and a toothpick should come out clean.
  8. For the glaze, whisk FlavCity Protein with 1 tbsp milk to start, adding more as needed until it’s thin enough to drizzle.
  9. Drizzle over the warm biscuits. Let them cool a little longer, then slice again and serve.
