Sometimes you just want a warm bowl of goodness in the morning. This Quinoa Protein Bowl hits the bullseye of that craving. Quinoa gives it some stick-to-your-ribs heartiness and our FlavCity Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie amps up the nutrition and satiation. Other ingredients, like nut butter, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla, add creaminess, warmth and depth of flavor. And a good dollop of yogurt and chopped nuts add the finishing touches for texture and a boost of protein! This recipe is great anytime of year, but especially in the colder months.

For this recipe you can use

Quinoa Protein Bowl

  • Pour the quinoa into boiling water and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and drain the water into a bowl. (Don’t pour boiling water down your drain as it may damage the pipes.)
  • Put the quinoa back into the pot and place it back on the stove on medium/low heat. Add two tablespoons of heavy cream, the maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and peanut butter. Stir and let it thicken for a few minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside while you chop some walnuts.
  • To the quinoa, add our Protein Smoothie, along with two more tablespoons of heavy cream, and the vanilla extract. Mix it well and pour into a bowl.
  • Top with Greek yogurt, chopped walnuts, and a dash more pumpkin pie spice, and enjoy!
Note: This recipe can be made with any flavor of our Protein Smoothie.
