Quinoa Protein Bowl

Ingredients

  • .25 cup quinoa
  • 2-4 tablespoons heavy cream (or coconut milk)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • .25 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • walnuts
  • .5 scoop FlavCity Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie
  • .25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Greek Yogurt

Directions

  • Pour the quinoa into boiling water and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and drain the water into a bowl. (Don’t pour boiling water down your drain as it may damage the pipes.)
  • Put the quinoa back into the pot and place it back on the stove on medium/low heat. Add two tablespoons of heavy cream, the maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and peanut butter. Stir and let it thicken for a few minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside while you chop some walnuts.
  • To the quinoa, add our Protein Smoothie, along with two more tablespoons of heavy cream, and the vanilla extract. Mix it well and pour into a bowl.
  • Top with Greek yogurt, chopped walnuts, and a dash more pumpkin pie spice, and enjoy!
