Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • .5 cup cheese, shredded
  • 1 scoop FlavCity Plant-Based Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie*
  • .5 tsp baking powder
  • .25 tsp psyllium husk
  • 1 sausage patty (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat a cast iron pan and place the sausage patty in the center. As it cooks, chop it into smaller pieces. Remove from heat once it's about 90% cooked. Set aside to cool.
  • Then in a bowl mix the egg, cheese, FlavCity plant-based Protein Smoothie, baking powder, and psyllium husk.
  • Once the sausage is cooled, add it to the batter and mix once more.
  • Preheat a ceramic waffle maker, then spray with some avocado oil. Add the batter directly to the middle of the waffle maker and spread it out just a bit in an even circle. Slowly close the lid and cook it for 2-3 minutes or until it’s nice and golden.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for more savory goodness or maple syrup for a sweet and savory delight! Enjoy!
